Advocacy Project

The Advocacy Project, following my Issue Brief report found on the Written Works page, aims to educate people about environmentally-friendly lifestyles and the possible impacts of using harmful products such as Styrofoam. The YouTube channel and four accompanying videos below, EcoTV PSU, inform students about university programs that promote sustainability in a brief and humorous manner. This project was also completed for the EcoReps program run by the Penn State Sustainability Institute. Getting the attention of college students can be fairly difficult, so having our content on mobile devices with jokes to keep them engaged was necessary for this endeavor.

TED Talk

As an independent musician, it can be very difficult to find pay that is equivalent to the work put into the occupation. In this TED Talk style presentation, I discuss the hardships I faced along with the rest of my band in trying to find justifiable compensation for our entertaining performances. I also discuss how difficult it is for musicians to get paid off their recorded work, as streaming services such as Spotify take too large of a cut from the people actually making the art and keep the rest for the platform's success.

This I Believe Podcast

Being able to articulate one's own core beliefs is very important in almost any setting, as without clear communication ideas, constructive criticisms or directions may be misinterpreted. My This I Believe Podcast, a telling of how and why I came to believe a certain idea, constructs the aspects of my life through which I came to realize that holding onto child-like hope and wonder has significantly improved my adult life.
